FAQ – Best Hotel Pools In Bali

Which month is best for swimming in Bali?

The best time for swimming in Bali is during the dry season, which typically runs from May to September. Within this period, the months of June, July, and August are particularly popular for swimming as the weather is generally sunny and rain is less likely.

During the wet season, from October to April, the weather can be unpredictable, with more frequent rain showers. However, even during the wet season, you can still find pockets of good weather for swimming, and some people may enjoy swimming in the rain (like myself).

What is an infinity pool?

An infinity pool, also known as an infinity edge pool, is a visually stunning type of swimming pool designed to create the illusion of water extending endlessly into the horizon. One or more edges of the pool are designed to have no visible boundary, allowing the water to appear as though it merges seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. This effect is achieved by having the water overflow from the pool’s edge, where it is collected in a catch basin and recirculated back into the pool.

Bali is renowned for its incredible infinity pools with jungle, cliff, or ocean views. In fact, we have seen some of the best infinity pools in the world during our travels to Bali.

Is it OK to swim in pools in Bali?

It is generally safe to swim in pools in Bali, especially in reputable hotels, resorts, and well-maintained establishments (such as the hotels recommended by us in this blog post). These places follow standard pool hygiene and safety practices to ensure the water is clean and safe for swimmers. The majority of swimming pools in Bali are properly chlorinated to maintain water cleanliness, so you can usually enjoy swimming in Bali’s best hotel pools without having to worry.
