I grew up in a small village in Germany, but over the years, the world has become my home. I’ve always been passionate about traveling, photography, and discovering new places. I’ve studied in three different countries and lived in New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Cyprus, and Bali, Indonesia.

Where it all began
Like many people, I first followed the traditional career path. After school, I studied International Tourism Management for my Bachelor’s degree and International Marketing Management for my Master’s, before stepping into the corporate world and working for a large international company. But despite building that career, something always felt missing. I found myself counting down the days until my next trip to escape the routine.
After a life-changing event, I finally decided to take a completely different path and set off on a world trip with my husband. We left our corporate careers, gave up our apartment, sold nearly everything we owned, and never looked back.
Since then, travel has given me some of my most unforgettable memories, from swimming with sharks in French Polynesia to beach-hopping in Western Australia, going on safari in South Africa, and staying in bamboo villas in Bali. The more I see of the world, the more that sense of curiosity continues to grow.
Over the years, I’ve traveled to more than 40 countries, though that number could easily be higher if I didn’t keep returning to places I love. I’m very much a slow traveler at heart, and some destinations keep pulling me back, especially Italy, Greece, and the Maldives.
I also seem to have a slight obsession with islands. So far, I’ve visited more than 75 of them, and some of my favorite island-hopping trips have taken me through the Cyclades in Greece, French Polynesia, the Maldives, the Philippines, and Thailand.
And then there are the experiences I’ll probably never stop talking about, like chasing the Northern Lights in Lapland, standing on the Acropolis in Athens and realizing just how surreal it feels to see so much history up close, or exploring Lake Como by boat, which felt exactly as dreamy as you’d imagine.
